2009 im back!

Hey all, it’s been a very long time and now I’m slowly trying to get back into the blogging world. What can I say a lot of things have changed over time but I can say that God is good! My job has got busier, my ministry is just being birthed and smells of new things are on the horizon.

Firstly i want to say i preached at Altona Corps last time i spoke on the subject of coming expecting. We sometimes come to church because its something we have always done. We don’t come with an attitude of what is God going to do today? Church should never be the same two weeks in a row. The bible tells us that His mercies are new every day! That’s seven days a week! And there’s no limit to the mercies God has for you! You know when your mum has cooked a roast and you get home and snack out on stuff before the roast is ready, by the time its ready you’re already filled by the chips and lollies that you have eaten. Sometime we come to church like that. We have eaten up on pride and sin and we have come full already instead of being hungry for God to fill us with his roast. So try it this week come expecting God to fill you!

My leadership role at Altona Corps is evangelism and i felt God say to me is to rename it to Operation Love. Love God with everything you have and love others. It’s started a little bit slower than what i would of like and that’s because i have not put more time in like I should. I started a facebook group called operation love with the hope we can share ideas and stories how God has used ideas and situations for his glory with ideas for other corps and churches to use. Ill keep you posted with that.

Well God is surely moving around our church, The Salvation Army and churches worldwide. Take it easy and my aim is to try and post every 2 days! Check me on facebook anyways! Bless ya!

A new Start!

Well sorry about the writing for this new blog! I promise ill try and add to this more frequently then what I am. Its been a long last 4 weeks.

I have just recently as of the 14th of Jan 2008 I was pretty much approached about a job that was opening up in the area at a brand new school. I was accepted and on a 3 month trail till the job become advertised as a permanent position. God willing ill get it. It’s been fantastic. Great Staff, 101 revving Kids and a portable village until the new permanent buildings are finished.

I’ve had lots of chances to hang out and talk with the kids and teachers. I told them I was a salvo and conversations just seem to open up. Turns out a teacher’s partner his uncle and aunt are officers serving I think! He’s going to get back to me where they are! Awesome! This week I get to start a new section of my job I guess you can call it. Ill be helping with CAP (Community Action Projects) and the are looking at the Salvation Army for the next few weeks! Then we head off on a social justice day not sure where or when but its exciting.

Then there are the cleaners! I rocked up real early one day not sure why I had woken so early but thought I would go down to work early. I bumped into the cleaner and he was telling me a story of what his cleaning symbol meant.. it included jesus in there somewhere about saving two kids from the serpent. I just told him I belive in jesus and he said lets talk so I’m catching up with him next week!

I just can’t wait for more opportunities to minister to these students and teachers!

Praise God!

Long time since blogging!

Hey all,
Its been a while since i last blogged. Gees time goes by so quick! Alto of things have happened over that period of time. But God doesn't change. His always the same!

Ive been quite sick over that period of time. The doctors discovered that i had a disease inside my ear that was eating away at me bones. YUK! I was in alot of pain and some days i couldn't even hear. It sucked big time. But i believed for a miracle of God to happen.

Last weekend i was the GO FOR SOULS conference. What an awesome weekend of God miricles and souls saving! I was prophised over and even was healed! Glory to GOD! That same week i prayed to God for the job i applied for that he wouldnt give it to me. But God had other plans and made me get it. Its Gods plans that we have to live by! but you know what... Gods plans are s much better than our own.

I just thank God for his hand in my life and ill blog a bit later on on another miricle that happened to me on tuesday morning at about 4:30am.

But till then i just pray that God will bless you and keep you.

Praise Him!

I’m sitting here just praising Jesus. You know I’ve been finding lately as I have been walking, catching up with people that praise and worship songs keep on going around in my head. The new Planetshakers CD/DVD is defiantly anointed with the presence of God.

There’s nothing better than getting into that secret place with God. Just let you get into his presence. Let Him do the rest!

Wednesday night last week a mate and I had the most powerful encounter with God. The devil had been using people to attack me. But I prayed that the devil will be put under my feet. Jesus is the King, The leader and the Winner!

Just remember, when you get attacked, don’t stress, don’t get negative. It’s a good sign that that’s where you need to be. The devil will only attack what isn’t going to be good for him.Bless you in the journey to the kingdom of God.

In His Name!

Psalm 148:1 (Whole Chapter) Hallelujah! Praise God from heaven, praise him from the mountaintops; Praise him, all you his angels, praise him, all you his warriors, Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, you morning stars; Praise him, high heaven, praise him, heavenly rain clouds; Praise, oh let them praise the name of God— he spoke the word, and there they were! (message)

Luke 2:13 (Whole Chapter) At once the angel was joined by a huge angelic choir singing God's praises: Glory to God in the heavenly heights, Peace to all men and women on earth who please him. (message)

Good Food and Great Fellowship

I was out tonight for our weekly Young Adults group and we headed down to a Thai restaurant in Footscray for some good food and fellowship. We prayed that God will bless the food to our bodies and bless this time of fellowship. We talked through people’s week what was good and what was a struggle. We helped each other out.

I can tell you the food was fantastic. The company and what we discussed was great. The local owner of the shop came over and wondered where we had come from. We answered Altona. She was amazed that we had traveled the 20 mins or so to come eat at her place.

Jesus did exactly the same traveling to peoples homes just to eat with them to enjoy in fellowship and to pray. I believe that this changed the owners of the places where he ate. I believe just as it was done with Jesus that we had changed this owner of the Thai restaurant. I’m going to pray for her and her family. The lady was very nice and we all commented on how her food was great.

Then we went to McDonald’s and had desert. While there we decided to pray for our entire group. And the people that was away. I just want to ask you guys to pray for 2 people in our group. One person is struggling in his day to day relationship with God. I ask that you may pray for him. Another guy is in Queensland and has lost his voice for about 4 days now and I believe in both instances God is going to move powerfully in their lives and heal them both.

Praise God!

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Question Time....

Hey Guys, A quick thought…. If we didn’t let Tradition get in the way of Progression; Prayer and Fellowship within our churches just like it was in ACTS what would CHURCH look like?

I was thinking this when i was reading the passage of Pentecost and the part of fellowship. I love to hear what people’s responses are to this.

Bless You!
