Leading of the Holy Spirit

You know what one of the biggest gifts we get as Christians? One of the greatest gifts that any one person has? the type of thing that people are curious about, but they too afraid to ask?
Jesus! People know the power that’s in his name, the life changing effects that this king of kings has in the lifetime and this world. You know I have just come back from spending a week at French island and boy, did god stir and speak to me. I started reading a book of William and Catherine Booths story. As well as reading Acts! Man they would get anyone pumped for ministry. I love the little blurb on the back... it starts off as “William booth did not let tradition stop him from doing what god wanted him to do….” I thought so much tradition in our churches (not just the TSA) stops us reaching out and trying new things. William Booth did not let anything like that stop him. Jesus never let that stop neither him nor the disciples. So why should we?

As I was thinking this god was showing me new things, showing me stuff that would stretch the boundaries of our church let alone the churches in Altona. Then I started reading acts 5 vs12-16:12The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade. 13No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed. As I was reading this I thought hmmm church would be an awesome place if we started meeting like these believers. Keep the Sunday morning prayer meetings but don’t stop at the Sunday morning prayer meetings... do them throughout the weeks. Let the people in are community know what’s going on. our churches would surely grow and the spirit would fill men women and kids with its power and churches would start to grow. But i also thought why wouldnt anyone join them? (if anyone knows could you please comment your answer)

Ill love to see the day when people brought sick people and laid them in the streets, in the churches hoping for our shadows… the disciples of Christ to hover over and heal the sick and casting our the evil spirits. It will happen! The community recognised the presence of Jesus Christ not only as a person or a swear word. But a figure of authority, the king of kings, the lord of lords! The day school kids will be filled with the Holy Spirit convicting their friends and praising God in the hallways. Were school communities will not just be a place of teaching but it would be a place of feeding of the bread of life, teaching each other the power and miracles that Jesus can do. Healing each other and saving their family, friends and teachers!

You know god spoke to me and said you will be the biggest church in Altona. I’m like yeah go Jesus! The week where I was away we had 44 people attend our meeting. With 14 regular people away and I’m praying those 44 and 14 regulars will come and have a congregation of 58. Praise the lord!I pray that all that read this will not only see this happening at Altona but at their own churches. The spirit is moving. More good news just came out saying Stephen Court and Danielle Strickland will be coming to our territory. The lord is really pouring his spirit and reviving our army. Remember God can do anything. Ask and it shall be received. If revival is what you want that will what you will get. Praise the lord! God bless each one of you. I pray that god will guide you and you will fall to his leadership.
In Christ Jesus

Fire up Shauny! Get the blogs happening. Teach us some wisdom and fire us up.

God's going to pour out revival very soon on our land and Salvation Army Corps will feel the impact of this outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

God will continue to bless you, expecially as he has chosen you to be a witness for Jesus. Remember, faithfulness will bring fruitfulness. The Lord will bless you for your faithfulness to Altona (even during the tough times) and he will bring fruitfulness very soon!

Our Corps started the 40 days of prayer for lent...It's not the first time we've done this (the first time we started a special daily prayer time,it took off!) and I tell you that some awesome things have been happening!!!

We're praying for revival, and I honestly believe that it's happening.(Praise God!)

- Revival always starts in us,and in reading your blog, I can tell that God's Holy Spirit has certainly "fanned the flame!"

Keep shining for Jesus; and persist in prayer!

Don't mind the opposition that Satan puts up...He's getting nervous! God's people are plugged into THE source of POWER!

God bless.
